ChrossX is a crosshair overlay for Windows. A visible overlay and permission to use it are two separate checks: both matter for your setup.

Check your display mode

Start with a windowed or borderless-windowed game. If the overlay does not appear in exclusive fullscreen, switch to borderless mode and try again. Visibility can depend on the game, its rendering mode, and your Windows setup.

  • Keep the game and crosshair on the same monitor.
  • Check the crosshair position after changing resolution or display scaling.
  • Choose a size and color you can see without covering small targets.
  • Try your setup in a practice session before joining a match.

Check the rules for your game and server

Game publishers, anti-cheat providers, server owners, and tournament organizers set their own rules for external overlays. Those rules may change. We do not guarantee that ChrossX is permitted in every game or that using it cannot lead to account penalties.

Read the current rules or ask the relevant operator before using ChrossX. If external crosshairs are prohibited, disable the overlay. A tool running outside the game is not, by itself, evidence that the tool is approved.

Understand what an overlay does

A fixed crosshair gives you a center-screen reference. It does not track enemies, control recoil, or calculate bullet spread, projectile drop, or cannon trajectories. Your game's mechanics still determine where a shot lands.
